Connect your mailbox
To let an agent read and sort your email, connect your mailbox to it. Gmail and Outlook connect through their own sign-in screens; any other provider connects over IMAP.
Open the agent from Agents, find the mailbox tool under Connections in the Your setup card, and press Connect. You can also save the mailbox under Credentials first and pick it when you connect the agent.
Gmail and Google Workspace
Choose Gmail Mailbox (OAuth) and complete Google’s consent screen as the mailbox owner. You never type your Google password here, and we do not store it. We recommend this for any Gmail address.
Outlook and Hotmail
Choose Outlook / Hotmail Mailbox (OAuth) and sign in on Microsoft’s own screen.
Other providers: IMAP
Choose IMAP Mailbox for your own domain, a hosting company’s mail, a self-hosted server or any other provider that supports IMAP.

| Encryption | ssl with port 993. tls and none are also offered; do not use none over the internet. |

| Password | The mailbox password, or an app password if your provider uses two-factor sign-in. |
| Validate Certificate | Leave it on unless you run a private mail server you trust. |
If your provider uses two-factor authentication, create an app password in its security settings and enter that instead of your normal password.
What the mailbox tools can do
The mailbox tools list and read messages, move them between folders, mark them read or flagged, and list folders. They do not send email.
